Wedding & Event Prep: The Ideal Treatment Timeline

Wedding & Event Prep: The Ideal Treatment Timeline

Brides, grads, milestone birthdays — big events drive more med spa bookings than anything else. The most common mistake? Booking too close to the date. Here’s the realistic countdown that photographers will thank you for.

6+ months out — start the slow-builders

  • PRP facials / vampire facials work gradually over a series — starting early lets the glow build naturally (PRP facial guide).
  • PRP hair restoration, if thinning bothers you in photos, needs months to show its work (the honest timeline).
  • First-ever filler? Do it now, not later — you want time to live with it, adjust, and love it.

3–4 months out — structural filler

Cheeks, chin, jawline, lips (shapes guide) — booked here, filler has fully settled long before the event, with room for a refinement visit if wanted. Nothing new should be tried for the first time inside the final two months.

6–8 weeks out — neurotoxin

Botox takes two weeks to fully show (timeline), and this window leaves time for a touch-up at the two-week mark if any area needs balancing. Booking it the week of the wedding is the classic error — you’d be mid-onset in your photos.

2–4 weeks out — final touches

  • Lip top-up only if planned with your injector in advance (swelling needs 1–2 weeks: aftercare)
  • Glutathione / skin-focused drips — the from-within glow routine
  • Nothing new from here — only things your face already knows

Event week — hydration, not needles

An IV drip a few days out for hydration and energy, then hands off the face. Many of our clients — including brides — make the vitamin drip their calm-before-the-day ritual.

The one rule above all

Never debut a treatment for a big event. Every treatment on your face should be one you’ve already had and loved. Build the plan backward from your date — that’s exactly what a consultation is for.
