Botox for Crow's Feet: What to Expect
Crow’s feet — the fine lines that fan out from the corners of your eyes when you smile — are one of the most common reasons people try Botox. Here’s what the treatment actually involves.
What causes crow’s feet
These lines come from years of a muscle around the eye (the orbicularis oculi) contracting every time you smile or squint. Over time the repeated movement etches lines into the skin. Because they’re caused by movement, they respond well to neurotoxin.
How Botox helps
Botox (or Dysport) relaxes that small muscle at the outer eye, softening the lines it creates. The goal is a smoother, more rested look around the eyes — while keeping a natural smile. Crystal treats this area conservatively so you don’t lose expression. It’s the same approach used across all our Botox & neurotoxin treatments.
Who it’s for
- Anyone bothered by fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes
- People who want a refreshed, less-tired look
- Those interested in softening lines before they deepen
- First-timers who want a subtle, natural result
What to expect
- Consultation — Crystal assesses your smile and the lines at rest and in motion.
- Treatment — a few small injections on each side; about 10 minutes.
- Recovery — minimal; you can return to your day with simple aftercare (see Botox aftercare basics at consultation).
- Results — appear in 3–5 days, full effect around two weeks, lasting roughly 3–4 months. (More in how long Botox lasts.)
A natural result is the goal
Done well, crow’s-feet Botox softens the lines but still lets you smile naturally — that balance comes from conservative dosing and good placement.
